Do you pressure wash roofs?
No. Every roof we clean is soft washed: a moss and algae treatment applied at about garden-hose pressure, then a low-pressure rinse. Roofing manufacturers warn that pressure washing asphalt shingles strips the granules and shortens the life of the roof.
How long does moss removal last in Portland?
Usually one to three years. Shaded north slopes under firs and maples regrow first; sunny roofs with clean gutters stay clear longest. Treated moss keeps dying back for a few weeks after the visit as the rain washes it off.
Can you clean the gutters at the same time?
