Why Treatment-First Beats Simply Blasting Moss
The green mat you see is only the visible part. Moss holds itself in pores and joints, especially where dust and organic material have collected. Hitting that growth with maximum pressure can strip the top away while leaving enough behind to restart, and it can damage weak concrete or empty paver joints in the process.
A treatment-first approach gives the cleaning chemistry time to work on the growth. After that, we use the least aggressive mechanical cleaning that will finish the job on that surface. On newer concrete, that may include controlled pressure or a surface cleaner. On pavers or older masonry, the pace and pressure may be reduced.
The point is not to avoid pressure washing entirely. It is to use treatment and pressure for different jobs rather than asking pressure to do everything.
